The holodeck was supposed to be offline. Maintenance cycle only. No active programs logged.
But when the doors opened, it was running — a cold, mist-filled corridor looping endlessly. The safety protocols were disabled. And something was walking just out of visual range… watching.
The technician sent in to shut it down never came back. It’s just a simulation, right…
