Our Story ...

Building the Science Fiction Worlds We Always Wanted to Play In

Bringing Science Fiction Worlds to Your Gaming Table

Every gamer has that moment.

Watching the marines enter Hadley's Hope. Seeing Darth Vader march down a corridor. Exploring forgotten space stations, underground colonies, alien hives, or ancient dwarven tombs. For us, those moments sparked a simple question:

"Why can't we build these worlds ourselves?"

Years ago, there weren't many options for affordable, highly detailed sci-fi terrain that hobbyists could print at home. So instead of waiting for someone else to create it, we decided to build it ourselves. That decision became LV427-Designs.

More Than Terrain

Our goal has never been to simply sell STL files. We wanted to create an ever-expanding universe of compatible rooms, corridors, accessories, and environments that hobbyists could collect over time. Instead of buying one complete game board, you build your own colony.

  • 600+ Modular Designs
  • Thousands of Happy Customers
  • 6+ Years of Designing
  • Countless Colony Layouts Created

Start with a corridor, Add a med bay, Expand into engineering, Connect a cargo bay. Before long you've created an entire science-fiction world unique to your own imagination.

Designed By Gamers

Every room begins with one question:

"Would we want to play here?"

Our inspiration comes from the science-fiction movies, games and tabletop adventures we grew up loving. Rather than copying those worlds, we use them as inspiration to create something original—designs that feel familiar while remaining uniquely LV427-Designs.

Every piece is created with gameplay, printing, and modular expansion in mind.

Built Around Community

One of the biggest surprises over the years hasn't been the growing library. It's been the people. Thousands of hobbyists around the world have built, painted, modified and shared their own colonies using our designs. Many of our improvements have come directly from customer feedback. If there's one philosophy we've always followed, it's simple:

Take care of the community first. Everything else follows.

Looking Forward

Innovation never stops. From introducing our optional OpenLOCK-compatible base system to continually improving older designs, we're always looking for ways to make building your colony easier, stronger, and more enjoyable. Our mission remains exactly the same as it was on day one: To help hobbyists create incredible science-fiction worlds at home.
