This was supposed to be low-risk — spare coolant tanks, backup regulators, old power cores long past active duty. Just another storage closet on the checklist.

Now the room stinks of scorched metal and decay. One of the tanks has been split open from the inside. The insulation is melted, and the floor is covered in acidic scoring.

The lights buzz faintly, and something shifts in the dark...
