A maintenance ladder stretched upward into shadow, its rungs slick with condensation. The Sharpshooter checked their rear, blaster steady, the echo of approaching footsteps threading through the blare of alarms.

The air was damp here, heavy with the hum of power conduits hidden in the walls. The only way forward was up, into the unknown, and every second spent deciding was another heartbeat closer to being trapped. Without a word, the Enforcer gripped the ladder and began to climb...
