The Sergeant helped secure the Corporal’s chest seals, fingers moving quickly as warning lights flickered overhead. Beyond the sealed door, the hostile surface of the moon waited in cold silence. With oxygen gauges steady and weapons slung tight, the team prepared to step outside and face whatever had been moving in the dark.
