The Corporal slammed the door shut behind them, sealing the narrow dead-end alcove. The Sergeant moved to the flickering computer terminal, its display casting pale light across their strained faces. Storage crates were stacked high against the walls, some overturned in the scramble.

The Lieutenant keyed in access codes, trying to wipe navigation data before the boarding party reached them. Blaster fire echoed closer through the ship’s frame, dust drifting from the ceiling with each impact. In the cramped space, there was nowhere to retreat, only the hope that the data purge finished before the enemy found them...
