The marine advanced down the wide corridor, his boots echoing against steel worn thin by years of mining traffic. The Lieutenant scanned the walls, where warning stripes were half-buried beneath grime and clawed marks. The Sergeant checked the motion tracker, its steady pulse the only rhythm in the oppressive silence.

Overhead lights flickered, revealing long shadows that stretched far ahead of the team. This corridor once carried miners and machines, but now it felt like a passage built to funnel prey...
