The Sergeant skidded to a halt, the beam of his light revealing nothing but a sealed bulkhead ahead. The Ensign turned sharply, scanning the narrow corridor they had just come through. Steam poured from a ruptured pipe, curling low across the deck and swallowing their boots.

 A heavy thud echoed closer, followed by the unmistakable scrape of claws along the wall. The Captain raised his weapon, the hiss from the darkness telling them they had nowhere left to run...
