The corridor groaned with the steady churn of massive ventilation fans, each blade taller than a man and coated in dust and dried oil. The team moved cautiously, watching the ceiling where the ductwork branched like veins. The Corporal checked the tracker. No movement. Just interference.

The Technician studied the fan controls. Something had overridden the safety systems. They would not stop spinning.  And once you heard the fans stop, it was already too late...
