The Private keeps watch at the door while the Corporal drags the colonist onto the slab, boots scraping over oil-stained plating. A Sergeant mutters orders, voice low and steady, as the room hums with old machinery never meant to be seen by anyone outside command.

The body is stripped of tags and dignity, fed into the rack system where waste and secrets share the same end. In the corner, the Lieutenant checks the corridor feed, knowing full well the Company will log this as a routine loss to the hostile surface. When the hatch seals and the grinders start, the only thing left is the smell of burned flesh and the quiet understanding that nobody here will ever speak of it again...
