The Private entered the Alien cryo lab, the air unnaturally cold and thick with a sour, chemical stench. Rows of massive cryo computers lined the room, their frosted glass screens obscuring shapes that should not exist.
The Lieutenant moved slowly between them, every step echoing too loudly in the vast, silent space. The Engineer noticed deep scratches scored across the metal floors, leading toward a large container that seemed to house pods of somekind. One of the chambers was left partially broken and open.
A sense of dread settled over the team, the certainty growing that this place was never meant to be entered, and that something inside knew they were there. Something skittered along the cold floor and disappeared...
