The Lieutenant led the fireteam into the junction. Once a central control hub, the center of the room, once a massive terminal. now fused into the hive structure. Consoles blinked erratically beneath layers of hardened secretion.

The Sergeant tapped one with his rifle. The screen flickered, briefly showing colony schematics before vanishing under static. The Corporal scanned the ceiling. No vents. No light. Just silence...
