The Commander stood at the front of the formation, blaster in hand, as the distant thud of magnetic clamps locked onto the hull. The deck plates rattled under their boots. The Lieutenant called out for all troopers to brace positions, forming a wall at the far end of the narrow boarding corridor.

From the other side of the sealed blast door came the deafening whine of a cutting torch. Smoke curled through the seams, and the Sergeant tightened his grip on his weapon. The Ensign muttered a quiet prayer, knowing the first breach would be chaos and mark their end...
