The search team stepped into the sprawling chamber, the air thick with the scent of scorched alloy and dust from the collapsed mine walls. In the center lay the shattered remains of an alien pod, its hull torn open and smoking from the violent impact. The Lieutenant circled the wreckage, tracing strange glyphs burned deep into its surface, their meaning lost but their intent ominous. 

The Sergeant swept his rifle toward the shadows, every instinct on edge as the dim light caught a flicker of movement high above. Perched among the jagged rock, unseen by the crew, a masked hunter watched in silence, its vision locked on its prey...
