Notes for Making Transparent Specimen Jars.
1) This design was made to be cheap and easy. It uses dollar store glitter containers. . We would suggest you use resin instead, after a few days the calcium from the water seems to cause white buildup on the clear jars. Possibly try distilled water or washing up liquid for dishes.
2) Using a small saw, cut the tubes, 23mm in length marked with a permanent marker. Then sand the bottom for level.
3) Make sure to layer the bottom of the specimen base with liquid glue to make it watertight. Then do the same with the lid. Be careful not to touch the sides and you may have to apply multiple coats..
4) Note, the tubes are narrow at the bottom so we recommend just two sections use.
