The cryo pods were supposed to keep them asleep for the long haul — silent, preserved, safe.
But half the pods are open. The others are iced over, alarms blinking red. Some are empty. Others… cracked from the inside.
Frost coats the hallway floor. Breath fogs in the air. And something left claw marks along the walls, like it didn’t wake up alone.
