The Story Continues:
The Amazon is one of the Axibalan Empire sorceresses that worshipped the ancient Elves of the underground sea. The travelled with them into the ethereal void in their submarine craft into the void and was trapped there with them, surviving by becoming undead demons. She was able to retain more of her youthful form by becoming a vampire and travelling back and forth through dimensions to feast on victims.
The ancient elven wanderers that created all of the tech deivices would not give up their magic or technology and instead abosorbed ethereal magic and became corrupted undead, living on psychic energy they could drain from the physical world and any beings they could conquer in the ethereal realm. The Lich lord and Death Knights must replenish their powers in the tech chambers and are using the ethereal tech from the base to build new chambers so they can become "supercharged" and break through into the physical world again. They sent their invader force, to capture the tech.
